Tim Noonan doesn’t exactly feel like he deserves the honor. After all, he isn’t a military veteran.
However, he has dedicated countless hours to making sure a memorial honoring World War I veterans who died serving their country received proper care and a fresh makeover.
For his work in restoring the Chicago Council of Gold Star Mothers (CCGSM) memorial in the Dan Ryan Woods, Noonan, of Beverly, has been named the grand marshal of the Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) Beverly/Morgan Park/Mt. Greenwood Memorial Day Parade, which will march up Longwood Drive on Memorial Day, May 27, after the BAPA Ridge Run.
